Guitar ramblings.
Okay so I like my electric more than my acoustic because the neck is a lot smoother and the acoustic has a cracked fret and it’s really broad. However, I hate having to lug my huge amp around all over the place. SO, I was thinking about doing two things.
A.) I could get one of those mini headphone amps and those tiny speakers people have that clip on to their backpacks. Now, the speakers are big only because the cases are big. The actual hardware is pretty slim. SO, I’ll take the headphone amp and connect it to those speakers and embed them inside the body of the guitar and drill some holes so that maybe the speakers come out through the side or anything. Anyways, I could set it up with a switch to toggle the 1/4” jack so that I can still connect it to a regular amp and BINGO, I’d have a (heavier) guitar with a built in amp.
B.) Take that headphone amp and those speakers and slap ‘em on my backpack or something else like that. That way, I could plug my guitar into my bag and jam away with it turning into a speaker. That’d be great for when I bring it to school for projects and when I go on trips.
However, I should probably test these on my Squier because it’s junk now and all I really use it for is decorating with bar codes. If it works on that, I’ll try it on the Jet King. Actually, no. it’s not junk. I just really want to swap out the pickups because they sound really tinny and swap in a real meaty sounding humbucker for some nice growl.
